Particularly in low income neighborhoods, too many children are not succeeding in school, resulting in poor outcomes such as dropping out of high school, teen pregnancies, gang membership, drug abuse, criminal acts, low earning power, and feelings of failure. Many elementary schools in these areas report that 50 to 75% of the children cannot read, compute math or perform science at grade level. TOP’s mission is to develop good school habits and learning capabilities so that children get a good start in Kindergarten. |

National longitudinal studies prove that when low income children are given the opportunity of high quality early education, they excel. Furthermore, they are more likely to continue to do well in school, graduate from high school and attend college. The TOP learning center model is designed and operated to teach children to read, compute, understand, think and succeed. TOP kids are hungry to learn and believe that they can succeed in school and life. |
