TOP offers a wide array of learning opportunities to help TOP kids learn everything they will need to know to succeed in Kindergarten. Literacy is taught through use of the same early reading curriculum used by local public school Kindergartens (Success for All/Curiosity Corner). Teachers formulate and deliver daily lesson plans to teach the children how to read while learning about the world they live in. Children also learn early math skills, science, technology, art, creative play, writing, vocabulary and that learning is fun. TOP kids also learn how to succeed in the world around them. They develop proficiency in large and small motor skills, learn about cultural differences, practice sharing and getting along with others. |

Educators realize that many things influence a child’s ability to learn. TOP assists children and families to create the best environment for their child. Parenting classes are available to help parents learn new skills. Social services support is offered to assist families in improving their home environments. Health professionals offer sight, hearing, and general health assessments. The TOP chefs prepare two meals and two snacks per day which provide all nutrition needed to meet the students’ minimum daily requirements. With TOP’s assistance, many families develop their own family improvement plans to help them improve home life and their living environments. TOP kids and TOP families are learning and improving every day. |
