EMPLOYMENT

Lead and assistant teacher qualifications vary somewhat by the age level of their classrooms. Most teachers have at least a bachelors or associate degree in education, early education or their equivalents. Lead teachers are encouraged to hold a program director license with KDHE for a center capacity of up to 100 children. Center directors must hold a KDHE license for center capacity of over 100 children. Prior teaching experience with at-risk children is a plus for all positions.

TOP Learning Center employees have access to a comprehensive health insurance plan, paid vacation days, paid all-purpose leave and are eligible for reimbursable staff development opportunities. TOP is dedicated to a high level of professional development and innovation in teaching methods and learning initiatives are ongoing continually. Both full time and part time positions are offered on 9-month and 12-month calendars. Pay is commensurate with that offered at other high quality day care and preschool private providers and is evaluated annually. Teachers have a high degree of control over their classrooms and support and communication from their Director.
